Review Delano White Desk and Kidcraft White Chair.

I had a whim to do everything in white when I moved into my new apartment a few months ago. I love white. There’s something so clean, peaceful, and energizing about it. It also has the advantage that when you change the soft furnishings (pillows, curtains, ornaments, etc), it changes the look entirely. In addition, I was on a very low budget so I had to spend very carefully.

For my work-at-home desk, I selected the Delano White Desk and the Kidcraft White chair. Both work beautifully. I have placed the desk in front of my window and I work there happily every morning. So, let me report back to you about these two products as I’ve been using them on a daily basis for two months now.

White Delano Desk Review
The White Delano Desk is very practical and easy to work on when you want a desk to put a laptop computer and have room for papers and various other tools.

White Delano Desk allows room for Printer and Scanner
Prior to this arrangement, I had both my printer and my scanner on my white Delano Desk, but then, because I didn’t want to see those electronic work horses I put them on the side. There was ample room to fit them, though. And I could still fit in the papers, books, or documents that I reference.

White Delano Desk is Easy to Clean
One wonderful property of this desk is the ease with which it cleans. As a writer, I am often munching a snack at my desk, especially breakfast and the occasional cup of tea during the days. Spills happen. Also, I don’t always wipe them immediately, and sometimes (hate to confess this) the spill lies there for a couple of days. So, it is absolutely wonderful to me that I can grab a cloth and the spots come off with one quick wipe! To me, this is fantastic, especially as it is a white desk and stains would look awful.

White Delano Desk is Easy to Assemble
Okay, it wasn’t easy for me to assemble. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t easy to assemble. It’s just that there are things I can do and there are things I can’t do. I can write. I wasn’t made to build things. However, my daughter can put together anything! We now have an arrangement. Anything that I order, she puts together. Ergo, I no longer do things like put one leg facing north and another facing south (yes, it has happened). I’m pretty sure it’s easy to assemble because it hasn’t fallen down yet and I only took about an hour and a half. (That’s good for me.)

White Delano Desk is Solid Wood
The entire desk is solid wood, by the way. I tend to be a lover of wood because it’s the good for the soul.

The Kidcraft Chair
The name is rather off putting, isn’t it? I want to know I’m sitting on a Kid’s chair? Well, it isn’t a kid’s chair, and it works beautifully with the desk. Besides, it didn’t cost as much as the other chairs, and as I said, I was on a tight budget. Besides that, quite a few adults have used this chair for things around the house. This includes standing on it to reach the top shelves of the kitchen.

The Kidcraft Chair is Easy to Assemble
No, I didn’t get one leg pointing south and the other north. This really did go more smoothly than the desk. I put it together in about 15 minutes and I will be proud of that forever. You have absolutely no idea what a klutz I am at putting furniture together. In another life, I would NOT have been a carpenter. Incidentally, it is solid wood.

The Kidcraft chair Comfortable
I love it! Truly, it doesn’t even have a pillow on it. I sit on it for at least eight hours a day while I’m writing and working on my laptop. It is big enough for myself, for my adult daughter, and for other adults to sit on, so I still don’t get why Kidcraft are making a chair that is suited to adults.

I haven’t spilled anything on it so I don’t know if it is easy to clean, and as it doesn’t have to have anything on it other than human beings, I can’t tell you more about that. However, it is solid wood and that makes it a worthwhile purchase in my eyes.
