Learn Doodle Art
I like to Doodle. I bet you like to doodle as well.
But have you ever thought that you can make really nice doodles and frame them? Then have you ever thought that those framed artwork impressions of your doodling will attract positive comments?
Believe it or not, they can.
There are even people who sell their doodles as serious art.
Doodles are also used to demonstrate some pretty serious videos by RSA Animate. If you go to youtube and search for them, take a look. Watch the doodles. They are absolutely fantastic.
EVERYBODY CAN DOODLE
So you're holding the phone in one hand, a pen in the other, and
you're waiting while you go through endless automatic music exchanges,
waiting for Agent No 76 to answer the phone so that you can fix what
needs fixing.
Only you've been waiting for 15 minutes, and it sounds like you're going to wait another 15!
DOODLE!
You've got the pen. You've got the paper. You've got the time. Now Doodle with Design.
Doodling isn't difficult. Doodling allows you to relax. Doodling makes you feel as if you haven't quite wasted your time while waiting on the phone.
Come Wine with Me
Doo-ing Doo-lightful Doodles
I sadly confess to being a doodler.
The question is, though, "Are Doodles Art?"
This hub is devoted to Doodles and Doodlers and Doo-ing with Doo-light.
About three or four years ago, my daughter finally got it into my head not to throw my doodles away. She was angry as she wanted to use them for a project, and they accumulate so quickly that I just trash them.
Anyway, she talked me into taking them seriously. Can you believe my stunned amazement when people started commenting on them and loving them?
So now I am no more complexed about my doodling and share my doodle delights with you.
If You Never Went to Art School...
If you never went to art school and are a frustrated artist, then doodling is for you. Using the most basic shapes, you can create the most wonderful art works.
You can even frame them.
I know from past experience that when you display your awesome doodles, everybody is doo-lighted with them.
Once addicted to doodling, you can doodle forever. Remember, you can have advanced doodles and sophisticated doodles and doodles that took a week to doodle.
And, no, you don't have to go to Art School to learn how to doodle.
Understanding Shapes Helps you Doodle in a More Sophistcated Way
Learning Shapes Makes Doodles Prettier
If you know how to draw a few basic shapes and make them into things people recognize, your doodles become more worthy.
This is not rocket science, just creative science.
Everybody can color something, draw endless lines next to each other, make tiny circles, and all the other little ways of doodling. So, when the shape is done, just doodle inside it.
It looks really good!

I love these!
It looks like art to me.
Very much art - would love to see more.
I think it is art. You could make some interesting pictures to go with your hubs. Thanks for sharing these.
These and the other doodles you have might work well for designs on the Zazzle website as they could be used on cards, bags or T shirts on that site.
Sophia, I have posted designs on Zazzle, however, I am not good at the promotion side so I did not make sales or money. I think to get the traffic to Zazzle you have to promote it by having links to it on sites like Squidoo. I would guess there are Hubbers here who would know more about it than I do.
As for what will sell it is difficult to know, I thought they might appeal to people who hate traditional mass produced cute/floral cards. I tend to buy cards that are by local artists or cards which are prints from museums and galleries.
Sophia! In reading your comments I am really surprised to hear you say you are a coward. No way--You have to be one of the bravest women I have encountered here. You are sure of your writing and state your opinions boldly and openly. And you are facing life's greatest challenges with grace and dignity. I think your drawings are great.
These drawings would make wonderful greeting cards. I would certainly be a customer.
