Prepare for the Year of the Rabbit with Feng Shui Charms
When the Year of the Rabbit starts at the end of February, it would be well to prepare for it. Of course, it may be all superstition, but have you noticed how much you carry the characteristics of your sign? I was born in the Year of the Rabbit and I am always stunned at how accurate it is. I guess I’m also quite excited about this coming year. I think it will be a better year than most. Still, I think a little Feng Shui here and there isn’t a bad idea. Here’s my list of lucky charms and talismans.

Preparing for a Rabbit Year
I’m excited that it’s the Year of the Rabbit. Just the thought that it might be a lucky year makes me want to be sure to prepared for it. I think very often luck has to do with preparation.

Do I believe that these items bring luck? No, I’m an interior designer and decorator! Well, that’s what I’m educated in.

What I do believe is that certain spatial dimensions enhance the ambience of a room and that Feng Shui has tumbled to this. However, so did Palladio, the Italian architect of a couple of centuries ago. I wrote an article about him here…

I think beautiful items make us feel better. I prefer small items because I think large articles take up too much space. And I don’t like clutter. I have about two dozen of these small articles that I totally adore. Elephants are my big thing – generally highly decorated ones. If I can find one I like on Amazon, I’ll post it here. Feng Shui is anything that brings you peace and pleasure. I'll also, at some point, take photos of my own elephant election and post it here.

The Jade Rabbit
This tiny little jade bunny rabbit is just the sweetest thing on earth. Jade provides protection, healing, love, and prosperity. Also, with it being the Year of the Rabbit, the best lucky charm for the year is a rabbit.

The Rabbit Foot
Even in the west, rabbit foots are considered lucky. Why not buy these four rabbit foots and give three to close friends and family to ensure that they also have a lucky year. Enhance their luck for the lucky Year of the Rabbit!

This is my personal favorite. It can be worn with anything! Not only is it lovely to look at but it's a lucky rabbit!

This petite little dragon is also very nice. The art of Feng Shui is really based in elegance, spatial comfort, and order. Working on the basis that the Year of the Rabbit will particularly be about art and elegance, I thought this gorgeous little dragon would find it’s own place in your home. This fabulous turtle also gives pleasure to the eye. Remember, that is what good Feng Shui is. It’s about creating that pleasing ambience in the home. With the Year of the Rabbit being especially focused on the home, it will be a good idea to enhance the home so that it can be a lucky, pleasurable place. Sometimes, it just takes one or two special pieces put in a place where they almost reflect a soft certainty that luck is with us. Remember that the Year of the Rabbit is intended to be lucky!

This cute little frog is made of stone. I think he’ll go really nice next to a small gold fish bowl (with a gold fish in it, of course). It would also be nice next to a plant that is next to a laptop computer. The reason I say that is that plants counter some of the electricity that is emitted from the computer (or is it ions?). Something about our natural love of Mother Nature in seeing a cute little froggie next to a plant enables us to feel at peace. I think.

The Vastu wealth turtle is in many wealthy homes in India. It is there to ensure not only that wealth comes, but that when the wealth comes, the wealth stays. Can one ever have too many lucky charms? And if there's any relevancy to lucky charms at all, what better way to test it out than in the Year of the Rabbit when lucky is luckier than luck will ever be!

There's that old saying, "I believe in luck and the harder I work, the luckier I get." In Astrology, some are born with better luck than others. Traditionally, Saggitarius is the western equivalent of a lucky sign sign. The luckiest placement is Jupiter in Aries. And, of course, the luckiest placement of all are those born in Sagitarrius in the Year of the Rabbit with Jupiter in Aries.
